Land of Hope Africa:
Why We’re Here

To do for those that can’t — providing sustainable living and development for parentless children.

Welcome to Land of Hope, a nonprofit orphanage in the bush of Zambia, Africa. Spanning 51 acres, our mission is to provide a community-based haven for orphaned children, offering them a place to call home and a brighter future filled with hope and opportunities.

Established in 2021, Land of Hope offers more than just a roof over children's heads. Our facilities include comfortable housing, with the aim of creating a warm and nurturing environment where every child feels loved, cared for, and accepted. Through our farm-to-table operations and progressive poultry practices, we strive to ensure that the nutritional needs of the children are met while supporting sustainable living practices. Furthermore, we provide certified education on-site at LOHA to ensure every child receives the appropriate education during their formative years, setting a strong foundation for their future achievements.

Inspired by a defining moment in 2018, Pastor Davis Daka and Don Ewing, fueled by their strong ties to Zambia and unwavering dedication to helping those in need, united to turn their collective vision of constructing an orphanage into a reality. Having devoted 20 years to serving the people of Zambia, they embarked on a journey to establish the Land of Hope, guided by their faith and God’s calling to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children.

Join us in our mission to provide love, stability, and opportunities for the orphaned children of Zambia. Together, we can bring joy and hope to their lives and make a lasting impact on the future of our community.
